Debates Secularist Porn

On The Subject of Pornography:

Pornography, once considered a taboo subject, is now readily available for all to enjoy or rail against. Porn includes a variety of forms from mild to obscene to extreme and it is available in diverse media. Pornography has been blamed for a decrease in the morality of society, for the corruption of youth, for the degradation of women, and for serious crimes such as sexual assault and harassment, rape, and murder. Pornography has also been defended by reference to our constitutional rights, the freedom of speech, the necessity of anti-censorship laws, the harmless pleasure and pastime it offers, and even the ability for it to help reduce the types of crimes mentioned above. Should pornography by restricted within our societies? Do the statistics show the harm or benefit it offers? What does the Secular Community think about the issues involved in the debate on pornography? Here we hope to present two sides of the issues involved. We are hoping to have at least one female participant.

If you would like to volunteer to debate your stance on the subject, write to The Secular Web.
