Brief Biography of
Travis J. Denneson
Name: Travis J. Denneson
Birth date: 07.07.1975
Degrees: B.A., Philosophy, University of Minnesota (1999)
I have written several papers on a variety of philosophical, historical, and humanities-oriented subjects during the pursuit of my B.A. in philosophy. I have recently begun to reject the more traditional philosophical approaches to metaphysics in favor of examining and exploring those of existentialism, absurdism, irrationalism, and various elements of Wittgensteinian and Nietzschian thought. Some of my interests outside of philosophy lie in astronomy, ancient history, music, and computers. As a humanist, I am a fervent advocate of the separation of church and state and am deeply concerned with the civil, human, and constitutional rights of others. I have written on Wittgenstein's treatment of psychological concepts such as seeing and interpretation. In the fall of 1999 I shall attend William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where I hope to put the skills and ideas I have acquired from my education in philosophy to good use.
